18 industries including iron and steel cement eliminated backward production capacity

According to CCTV, the task of eliminating backward production capacity in 18 industries such as China's steel, cement and coke has been fully completed in 2010.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will introduce the operation of the national industrial communications industry in 2010 and interpret the current hot issues in the industrial and communications industries. According to information obtained by CCTV reporters in advance, in 2010, the tasks of eliminating backward production capacity in 18 industries such as China's steel, cement and coke have been fully completed. Among them, the elimination of outdated production capacity involves a total of more than 2,000 companies. During the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period, a total of 110 million tons of outdated iron production capacity, more than 68 million tons of steel, 330 million tons of cement and 100 million tons of coke were eliminated.

In addition, in 2010, the operating conditions of Chinese SMEs have clearly improved. The annual added value of SMEs above designated size increased by 17.5% year-on-year, 0.8 percentage points higher than the average level of all above-scale industries.

At the same time, in terms of telecommunications, as of the end of December 2010, there were 1.15 billion telephone users nationwide, of which 859 million mobile phone users, and telecom rates fell by 11% on the basis of a 9% decline in 2009.
