Shell starts partially to restart Singapore refinery

Reuters reported on October 10 in Singapore that three sources familiar with the matter told Reuters reporters here today that Royal Dutch Shell, Europe’s largest oil company, was shut down in Singapore for less than two weeks due to a fire. The time started to restart the largest crude oil distillation unit in this refinery.

Shell's re-launched crude oil distillation unit with the capacity to process 210,000 barrels of crude oil per day is the largest of the three crude distillation units in Singapore's largest refinery.

Shell's largest refinery in Singapore has the ability to process 500,000 barrels of crude oil per day. The light distillate produced by this restarted crude distillation unit will be sufficient to maintain the basic operation of its chemical complex.
