Zhang Wei, Director of the Industry Department of the Ministry of Commerce, revealed on the 22nd that during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, China will implement an import promotion strategy for mechanical and electrical products, and timely adjust the Catalogue of Encouraging Imported Technologies and Products, for strategic emerging industries and traditional equipment manufacturing industries. In an interview with reporters at the National Business Work Conference held here, Zhang Wei said that implementing an active import promotion strategy for mechanical and electrical products, effectively utilizing international resources to make up for the shortage of China's economic development factors, is conducive to promoting the transformation of China's economic development mode and industrial restructuring. It is conducive to enhancing innovation capacity as soon as possible, and at the same time helping to improve national welfare.

Zhang Wei pointed out that during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, the promotion of China's imports of mechanical and electrical products will follow the following three principles: First, adhere to the combination of market mechanisms and policy guidance. Guide enterprises to introduce advanced technology equipment and key parts and components that are urgently needed for industrial development; second, adhere to the combination of introduction, digestion, absorption and innovation; third, adhere to the combination of promoting import and maintenance of industrial safety.

In the next five years, China's development goals for promoting the import of mechanical and electrical products will be: gradually increase the proportion of imports of advanced technology equipment and key components; increase the proportion of imports of imported enterprises and general trade methods; increase the contribution of imports to innovation; And the regional trade surplus is growing too fast.

Zhang Wei said that during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, China will adopt the following measures to promote the import of mechanical and electrical products: promote the trade facilitation of mechanical and electrical products; organize enterprises to use the exhibition platform to cooperate with foreign advanced equipment manufacturers; urge Western developed countries to relax their exports to China Control; promote the introduction of digestion, absorption and innovation; increase financial support for imports.
