Offshore oil fuel flights bring the world to a new stage

Used cooking oil is often referred to as "ditch oil." Today, "ditch oil" has a suitable use - refining bio-kerosene to drive the aircraft. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced on the 22nd that it will use a passenger jet powered by bio-kerosene to fly from Amsterdam to Paris in September this year.

KLM said that using bio-kerosene to drive flights will be more conducive to sustainable development. This kind of bio-kerosene is extracted from "ditch oil" with special technology. Its technical standards are the same as ordinary aviation kerosene, and it is not necessary to retrofit existing aircraft engines. Since this kind of bio-kerosene uses "ditch oil" rather than food, it will not affect food security.

KLM President Ernest Collins said that KLM had conducted tests as early as 2009, which proved that the use of bio-kerosene is technically feasible. Now they are about to receive official approval for using commercial kerosene for commercial flights. The world will be "into a new phase."
