EU 2011 non-ferrous metal tax quota will change

The latest resolution of the Council of Ministers of the EU: Adding 50,000 tons of duty-free quotas for the EU's imports of ferrochrome in 2011, and the quota applies to ferrochromium with a carbon content of between 1.5% and 4% and a chromium content of less than 70%. The European Commission explained that the resolution was designed to ensure that the EU’s own insufficient production of specific commodity materials can be fully and stably supplied.

The meeting granted the same importation of tungsten oxide (including blue tungsten) 12,000 tons of duty-free quota, vanadium oxide and hydroxide 13,000 tons of tax-free quota, the above species is limited to alloys. The duty-free quotas for tungsten and vanadium have already been implemented in 2010. Each year, the EU will make some adjustments, additions, or cancellations to the quotas.
