Trina Solar's Trina Solar Technology (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tianhe Solar Energy Vietnam") received a credit line of 30 million US dollars from the Industrial and Commercial Bank of Vietnam. The industry believes that by taking this opportunity, Chinese PV companies should vigorously develop emerging markets such as Southeast Asia and become the main direction for Chinese PV companies to release production capacity. Refusal to complete statistics, after "5·31", China's PV companies have received 4GW of overseas orders, mostly from emerging markets.

It is understood that the amount of the $30 million credit granted by Trina Solar Vietnam will be used for the funding needs of the production and operation of Trina Solar's Vietnam battery plant. In addition, Trina Solar has supplied 258 MW of PERC single-crystal double-glass power generation components for the largest private PV project in Vietnam.

Lin Boqiang, director of the China Energy Economic Research Center of Xiamen University, believes that the Industrial and Commercial Bank of Vietnam provides credit support to Chinese PV companies, indicating Vietnam’s recognition of Chinese PV companies. At present, the US investigation of China's photovoltaic products is still not over. Under such a background, emerging markets such as Southeast Asia should become the main direction of China's PV capacity release.

After the "5·31" photovoltaic new deal, major PV companies have increased their attention to overseas markets, but the international market is not smooth. At present, after the “201” survey in the United States, the “301” survey was superimposed. The United States imported China’s PV module tax rate by 25%; the PV inverter tax rate also increased to 25%. India has imposed a 25% guaranteed tariff on solar cells from countries such as China since July 30.

In order to solve these difficulties, Chinese PV companies have increased their efforts in the development of emerging markets. According to incomplete statistics, since June, Jinko Energy, JA Solar, Trina Solar, Longji Leye and other component companies have exceeded 4GW overseas orders. Most of these orders are concentrated in emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa and South America, accounting for 69%.

It is worth mentioning that in order to release production capacity, many companies have directly built factories abroad. At present, JA Solar, Trina Solar, GCL Integration, and Artes have invested in components or battery factories in Vietnam and Indonesia, with a scale of more than 1.2GW.
