Since 1981, our factory has introduced the technology of Westinghouse Electric Company of the United States to manufacture three-stage blades of 300MW and 600MW steam turbine low-pressure cylinders. The blade material is precipitation-hardening stainless steel 17-4PH. The performance comparison with the commonly used material of the blade 2Cr13 after heat treatment is as follows: From the table It can be seen that 17-4PH is 31% higher than the strength limit δ_b of 2Cr13, and the cutting performance is poor, and processing is also difficult. The several stages of the blade are manufactured using precision forged blade blanks, and most of the machining allowance is concentrated in the blade roots (Fig. 1). We use machining center equipment to machine the leaf roots and intermediate conical surfaces in a concentrated manner. The development of the tools used is through high-speed steel and high cobalt.
