The national 863 major project of China National Electron Photovoltaic (CEP) as the main undertaking unit has made important progress in the “Key Technology and Demonstration Production Line of Crystalline Silicon Battery Industrialization Based on High-Efficiency Back-Field and Back-passivation Technology for More than 20% Efficiency†project. Zhongdian Photovoltaic High-efficiency Battery has entered the batch trial stage since mid-September 2014. According to Fraunhofer ISE standards, the average efficiency of China Unicom's photovoltaic high-efficiency battery batch products reached 20.3% to 20.4%, and the single chip efficiency was 20.6% or more. Batch trial production was successful.
According to the research team's introduction, the PERC high-efficiency battery of China Light and Power PV adopts a new battery structure design. Using ordinary solar grade silicon wafers, on the basis of ordinary battery production lines, only a small amount of equipment is added, and the battery conversion efficiency is 0.6%. 1% increase. Under this new technology, mass production of PERC high-efficiency batteries can be realized by upgrading and renovating the production line based on the existing battery production line, and the seamless docking of low-cost, high-efficiency solar crystalline silicon cells with existing production lines can be completed. Currently, trial-produced batteries are undergoing the preparation of component products, and subsequent component reliability tests and certifications will be performed.
The overall objectives of the 863 project of China Light and Power PV are: "To master the complete sets of major processes and core equipment technologies for crystal silicon solar cells with an efficiency of over 20%, and to establish a demonstration production line of high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells with independent intellectual property rights and form batch products." It is planned to mass-produce high-efficiency battery projects with conversion efficiency of more than 20% by the end of 2014, further improve battery conversion efficiency, reduce power generation costs, and increase the cost competitiveness of photovoltaic power generation and conventional thermal power. This will firmly grasp the commanding position of the future energy industry. It is of great significance to form core competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets and promote the rapid and healthy development of new energy in the country.
