The method of spraying fertilizer solution is beneficial to the absorption and utilization of fertilizer by cotton, prolonging the functional period of leaves, increasing root activity and increasing boll weight. After spraying the fertilizer for 4-5 hours, the nutrients can enter the leaf cells through the stratum corneum of the cotton leaves and then transfer to various parts of the cotton plant. In the late stage of cotton spraying, the fertilizer used has less fertilizer, quick effect and high fertilizer efficiency. When the cotton is de-fertilized due to drought, the effect of spraying fertilizer is significant.
Generally, cotton with premature aging tendency in early August should be sprayed with fertilizer to supplement nutrients, extend leaf function period, increase root activity and increase boll weight. Fertilizer concentration, urea is preferably 1%, 50 kg of water plus 0.5 kg of urea; potassium dihydrogen phosphate, superphosphate is preferably 1%-1.5%. The superphosphate should be soaked for 24 hours. After the impurities are precipitated, the clear liquid is slowly poured out, and the water is diluted and sprayed. Usually after 4 pm, the fertilizer is sprayed on the upper leaves of the cotton plant, and the front and back are sprayed. Spray 60 kg of fertilizer solution per acre, spray once every 7-10 days, spray a total of 3-4 times.
