Analysis of the modus operandi:

The methods of committing crimes in the above cases are very unique and rare in the whole country. The modus operandi is as follows: The first step is for criminals to obtain the victim's credit card information (account name, card number, password, ID number, cardholder's address, contact number, etc.) through illegal channels. The second step is for criminals to call the bank's customer service phone, falsely claiming that the credit card was lost, and completing the report operation. The third step is for criminals to request a new card with their original name, and change the original mailing address and contact number. The fourth step is that the new credit card is mailed to the changed address and is maliciously overdrawn by criminals. At the same time, criminals will use the information of the victims to report tentatively to other banks. If the victim has processed a credit card in another bank and the registration information and password are the same, the loss will be further exacerbated.
