I. Introduction:

The world's largest off-grid photovoltaic power station in Qinghai Province's Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture was successfully operated on December 11, 2013. The total investment of the project is 236.25 million yuan. The Huichuan IES100T500 bidirectional energy storage converter is used as the core energy storage power generation. The equipment, without any other power supply, has a total energy storage capacity of 25.7 MW per hour. In extreme cases such as continuous rainy days, the entire load of the photovoltaic power station can be powered by the battery for 24 hours. 50% of the residents use the energy storage battery for 72 hours. The important load is powered by the energy storage battery for one week.

The off-grid photovoltaic power station adopts the full PV energy storage mode without any other power supply. Using an energy storage converter to establish an off-grid microgrid, using the photovoltaic array to emit energy in the case of illumination, preferentially supply the load, the remaining energy to charge the storage battery pack; in the absence of illumination, through the energy storage The flow device inverts the battery pack into alternating current to supply power to the alternating current load.
