Research on Simulation Model of SolidWorks Hybrid Electric Vehicle Powertrain

4.1 Program Driven Parametric Modeling of Gears Parametric modeling of gears consists of four modules: system interface design module, tooth shape calculation and generation module, wheel force generation module, and 3D solid model generation module. The system interface design module is to establish an interactive human-machine interface, accepting the user's data on the specific parameters of the cylindrical gear (number of teeth, modulus, pressure angle, wheel load radius). The method adopted is to add and use COM to generate under SolidWorks. After the custom dynamic link library is generated, the interface interface dialog box is used to input the gear specific parameters in the dialog box. The tooth shape calculation and generation module uses the involute equation to calculate the coordinate values ​​of each point first, and generates a tooth profile in combination with the API function. According to the radius of the input, and then through the API command to get a two-dimensional graphic of the wheel. Then, through the cutting command, a tooth groove is obtained, and then the circumferential array array feature is used to obtain all the tooth shapes, and the gear modeling is completed. Figure 1 shows the ablation and circumferential array features of the gullets.

4.2 Axis Size Driven Parametric Modeling This modeling method does not require a large number of API modeling functions for programmers. For components with high complexity of the model, an equation can be added to the software to constrain the relationship between dimensions. The size-driven parametric modeling core is to figure out which dimensions are the main factors, and the main factors are judged based on the purpose of the model library being built. If there are two or more main factors, then the equations of the main dimensions are used to constrain them. For the shaft on the PHEV planetary power train, the main factor is the length and shaft diameter of each shaft segment.

Open the part with the OpenDoo4() function, then manually view the name of the size, and then traverse each size in the sketch to get the size object. Then you can call the API function SetValue() to modify the size value to the size you need. value.

4.3 Dimensional Driving of Other Parts Driving Modeling There are other parts in the PHEV planetary gear train, such as: keys, planet carriers and bearings, which are also required when building the assembly model. Therefore, these parts are also To perform dimensionally driven parametric modeling, the method used is similar to the dimensionally driven parametric modeling of the shaft. It is not repeated here.

4.4 Establishment of the assembly solid model In order to facilitate the study of the motion and dynamic performance simulation of the PHEV powertrain, the solid model of the part must be properly assembled to build the assembly solid model. According to the structural characteristics of the PHEV powertrain, based on the built-up physical model of the part, the position of each component in the assembly is accurately set according to the assembly relationship between the components during the movement. Using SolidWorks, the coincidence, parallelism, concentricity, gear coordination and other commands in the assembly function, so that each component is correctly installed in the assembly, and finally the simulation model of the PHEV powertrain is designed and completed. as shown in picture 2.

5 Conclusion

In this paper, VC++ is used for secondary development of SolidWorks. The components of the selected PHEV powertrain are physically modeled. Based on the solid model of the part, the complete simulation model is designed and built. The simulation model can view the appearance characteristics and structural principle of the hybrid electric vehicle powertrain from different perspectives, and provide a basis for the virtual prototype and simulation of the PHEV powertrain, and achieve the intended purpose.
