Stone industry rectification significantly more than 800 stone enterprises in Quanzhouguan

The comprehensive renovation of the architectural veneer stone industry has achieved remarkable results. Quanzhou has closed more than 800 stone processing enterprises. On January 18th, the author learned from the Quanzhou Economic Commission that since July last year, Fujian Province has carried out comprehensive renovation of the architectural veneer stone industry. In Quanzhou, a number of stone processing factories with unlicensed production and environmental protection have been eliminated.

Industry consolidation will continue
It is understood that Jinjiang, Nan'an and Anxi counties (cities, districts) are the key areas for the rectification. Among the more than 800 stone processing enterprises that Quanzhou has banned, there are 410 and 293 in Jinjiang and Nan'an respectively. "Before the Spring Festival, there are still a number of enterprises in individual regions to be banned." Quanzhou Economic Commission said. In addition, more than 30 stone mines in Anxi and Nan'an have been banned.

As an important stone processing area, Jinjiang has more than 600 architectural stone processing enterprises, mainly distributed in Yonghe, Dongshi, Yinglin, Neiteng, magnetic stove, Longhu, Anhai and other towns. After investigations on the number of building stone processing enterprises and the number, scale, production status of the individual households and the scale of the building facing stone enterprises to be entered into the centralized processing area, there are 410 licenses incomplete or located in the first and second protection zones of drinking water sources. The Anpingqiao River Basin, the Jiujiu River Basin, the South Low Main Canal Basin and other residential areas are closed. During the long-term remediation process, 410 companies were seized and shut down. At the same time, the relevant departments have also increased the supervision of enterprises, and ordered the stone processing enterprises outside the mandatory closed areas to strictly improve and standardize the environmental protection facilities in accordance with the pollution control requirements, and forcefully shut down the enterprises that are not in place. Jinjiang filed a case to investigate and deal with illegal sewage companies that were not built or operated in a dozen pollution control facilities and imposed a fine of one million yuan.

Facing the test of "life and death"
According to reports, the comprehensive renovation of the architectural veneer stone industry is to increase the elimination of backward production capacity and increase the construction of pollution control facilities. In this shuffle, the fate of many stone processing companies is different. Relevant policies clearly stipulate that before the end of 2009, all mines and non-forbidden mining areas within the forbidden mining areas along the Jinjiang River, Luoyang River Basin and reservoirs, national highways, provincial highways, highways, railways, etc., are undocumented and have not reached the minimum. Mining-scale mines (mine sites) are closed down; for unlicensed production, incomplete approval procedures, non-polluting treatment facilities, “zero emissions”, single-piece saw blades in 3 (large pieces) and below, sawing machines in 2 sets and The following building facing stone processing enterprises implement closure and demolition equipment.

There is no doubt that this is a “lifeline” for all stone processing companies and mines. “The huge number of 'cross-border' mines and processing enterprises have low mining rate, low processing technology, low environmental protection and pollution control capacity, resulting in great waste of resources and disorderly competition in the industry. This rectification reflects the role of market rules.” Chen Yanfei, vice chairman of the Quanzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce, who is concerned about the stone industry, said.
