How to install baseboard?

1. Drilling: Before drilling, observe the routing of hydropower to prevent mistakes. Drilling intervals should not be too large, otherwise the baseboard is difficult to stick to the wall.
Use a special tool to drill holes in the wall. The common length of the baseboard is 2m. In order to fix the skirting board more firmly, the drilling interval should be about 40cm, and the interval at the interface should be smaller. Stick the small bar into the hole you just made. The nails fixing the baseboard are nailed to the wooden bar and nailed directly to the wall. The nails are easy to loosen.
Note: Since the pipes of the hydropower project are buried on the wall, the position of the pipe is just below the switch socket. When drilling, it is a good position to avoid damage.

2. Fixed: Before the fixed baseboard, the wall should be leveled and cleaned. Otherwise, the skirting board can't be completely attached to the wall, leaving unsightly gaps.
Look for the hole and fix the nail on the baseboard. When fixing, pay attention to whether the skirting board and the wall are in close contact. The nail should also be completely immersed in the baseboard.
Note: Whether it is polymer, MDF, wood material baseboard, have the characteristics of thermal expansion and contraction, so the baseboard corner of the corner should also be like the floor, leaving about 1cm expansion joints.

3. Corner treatment: At the corner, where the baseboard intersects, the edge of the baseboard must be cut at an angle of 45 degrees so that the interface will not leave unsightly marks. Fix the cut baseboard.
Note: The corner baseboard must be cut through a 45-degree angle before it can be spliced ​​and installed, otherwise it will affect the appearance.

4. Installation points: Fix the nails of the baseboard to use special screw nails, so the fixing effect is better and it is not easy to loosen. We must pay attention to whether manufacturers cut corners.
The baseboard was originally designed to cover the expansion joints of the floor and make the floor more beautiful. Therefore, the intersection of the skirting boards should be smoothed with a plane. The baseboard must be completely close to the wall without any gaps. It is more beautiful, especially the corners. The flatness of the wall should be tested before installation.
