Four kinds of fire prevention measures for buses

Buses have become an indispensable means of transportation in the city. There are too many people to ride in every day. However, the safety of public transport has become a worrying issue. It can be said that the arson and explosions that occurred in buses are no longer one. Twice. How to deal with danger? How to let everyone have the ability to escape easily? This is obviously a very important issue.

Buses are different from other vehicles, and their density has exceeded our imagination. I am afraid that few buses are not overloaded. Especially in large cities like Hangzhou, bus overload is almost universal. In this way, once an accident occurs on a bus, the consequences are unthinkable.

Bus Escape Guide

According to the newly promulgated "Fire Protection Law", public transport vehicles should be equipped with the necessary fire extinguishers and escape equipment. Once an emergency is discovered, passengers must first inform the driver and try to escape from the front door and back door.

There are four main fire prevention measures on buses

One is an automatic fire extinguishing device. Generally installed in the engine compartment of the bus, the electrical integration of the front door. The automatic fire extinguishing device can extinguish the fire by means of high pressure spraying under dangerous conditions such as temperatures exceeding 170°C.

The second is a manual fire extinguishing device. Mainly in the car equipped with dry powder fire extinguishers. After training, the driver can effectively extinguish the initial ignition source. In addition, the public transport department will also replace the dry powder fire extinguishers regularly.

The third is the escape device. A total of two escape devices are installed on general public transport vehicles. One is the “escape hammer” placed above the front door and the window behind the middle door. Each air-conditioned vehicle has a safety hammer placed on the left and right sides of the front and rear cars. The alarm will be heard when this hammer is removed. In case of emergency, passengers can use the "escape hammer" to smash the side window glass to escape. Some old cars are not equipped with "escape hammers" and can use pliers, spanners, etc. It is best to knock on the upper side of the window.

The correct usage of the hammer is: In the event of an emergency, the pointed tip of the hammer is struck hard in the center of the glass, and the glass will be cracked from the point where it is tapped, like a spider web, then use the foot again. When the glass is cut off, people can escape.

Glazing glass is also tricky. I personally think that the correct way is to break the four corners of glass. Because the bending strength of tempered glass is five times that of ordinary glass, if the glass is centered, the power will be dispersed and absorbed. The four corners are less likely to disperse. Tempered glass has a unique feature in that breaking a single point will break it up into small glass beads that are not easily hurt.

If you don't have an escape hammer, try it with a metal heel. Or hold the key in your hand and reveal an obtuse angle. Use your glass window corner to make good luck.

If the high heels, the keys are not there, we can hold the backrest of the seat and use the heel to forcefully smash the windowpane, not the kick. I tried this trick once. At that time, my strength was too great. When I got home, I felt foot pain.

The other is the emergency escape switch, which is installed on the air path above the love seat. An emergency switch located at the top of the door can open the door manually by turning the switch when the vehicle loses power. In emergency situations, the red emergency switch on the air duct can be toggled and the door will open quickly.

The fourth is the emergency escape window

There are also two emergency escape exits at the head of the bus, but many times it is easy to mistake it for ventilation. The two escape windows at the top of the compartment, which turn the red switch in an emergency, can also open the window to escape.

Four measures successfully escaped

â—Ž Keep calm. Finding the nearest exit, such as doors, windows, etc., finds the way out and leaves the car as quickly as possible. If the bus is a closed car, you can use an on-board lifeboat hammer to quickly break the window to escape the fire. If you do not find a life-saving hammer, you can use all hard objects to smash the car glass escape.

â—Ž Passengers should drive the vehicle to a sparsely populated location during a fire and evacuate passengers to a safe location. If the bus is caught in a place prone to an explosion, such as a gas station, the bus should be driven away immediately.

â—ŽUsing on-board fire extinguishers: When the bus catches fire, crew members should immediately use the on-board fire extinguisher (usually at the driver's seat) to extinguish the fire.

â—Ž The body is rolling on the spot: If you are in the process of escape, you can roll on the spot and extinguish the fire. When you find that the clothes on the other person are on fire, you can take off your clothes or use other cloths to annihilate the fire on others.

According to the newly promulgated "Fire Protection Law", public transport vehicles should be equipped with the necessary fire extinguishers and escape equipment. Once an emergency is discovered, passengers must first inform the driver and try to escape from the front door and back door. If the door does not open, quickly activate the "escape hammer" to break the window glass and escape from the window. The escape hammer on an air-conditioned vehicle is generally framed between window panes on both sides of the car. If the car rolls over, it will just block the door and passengers trapped in the car will have to activate the emergency exit on the roof. Rotate in the direction of the arrow in the picture, the whole ventilation window will be pushed out, and then escape from this hole.

If the bus ignites and burns, apart from escaping from the enclosed car as soon as possible, the fire extinguisher inside the car (usually under the front door seat) should be used as soon as necessary, and the method of use is the same as an ordinary fire extinguisher.
