For ordinary people, traveling by air is obviously not much enjoyment. After all, the economy and space are limited. However, it is clear that airlines are most in need of economy class passengers, so they have spared no effort in optimizing in-cabin design and providing better services. Each year, Hamburg, Germany, will hold an aircraft interior exhibition. Some outstanding designs will receive the “Crystal Cabin Awardâ€. Here's a look at some of the concepts we hope to see in the passenger plane as soon as possible.
1.Elisava cart
I still remember that the bulky, spacious delivery carts on the passenger planes often had to pass through the aisles and had to give way to the flight attendants. If there were air jolts, we were also worried that the weak spaces could not control them. Take a look at the concept of the Elisava cart in the design school and engineering company in Barcelona, Spain. It has a light, thin, rounded corners and non-slip wheels. Each drawer has a fine-second folding design with plenty of space.
2.Smarttray dining table
Obviously, the narrow table space in economy class is very limited. If you place the plate, your tablet computer will nowhere. Smarttray design solves this problem. It specifically designed a flat bracket that does not take up space on the desk and can be used to place flat and mobile phones very stably.
3.B/E Aerospace Solar Window
We are surprised that the B/E Aerospace solar window has not yet been put into production. Its concept is to integrate solar collectors on the outer layers of aircraft windows, and to integrate USB interfaces on the sun visors inside the windows, and to use solar energy to charge passengers' mobile phones and tablets, saving energy and protecting the environment.
4. Boeing New Cabin Design
Boeing's latest cabin trunk design can effectively increase the storage space by 50%, while opening it to a lower height, making it easier for passengers to put in their luggage. This new design will be the first to be adopted on the new Boeing 737 MAX.
5. Lufthansa Aerokid seats
The seat of the passenger aircraft is obviously designed for adults. It is not very convenient for parents to take care of children. Lufthansa Aerokit seat can obviously solve this problem. It has a flexible inverted seat unit designed for infants that allows parents to better care for their children.
6.B/E Aerospace Escape Head-mounted Display
The Escape head-mounted display designed by B/E Aerospace can not only be used as a light-shielding design during sleep (just pull the front visor), but it can also be used as a head-mounted entertainment display to watch entertainment content in the cabin. Of course, its design is very futuristic. If you want to achieve it, you may also need to wait for the flexible screen to develop further.
7.Enable small table display
The concept of the Enable Dashboard Monitor comes from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and is quite futuristic. First of all, the tablet has an integrated LCD screen and also supports the context system. When passengers place the iPhone on the table, Safari browser, mail, weather, photos and other functions will appear on the screen; if you place a flight magazine, preview will be displayed. Put the headset on top and the concert stops automatically. Sounds like, Enable is a bit of a Hollywood concept, but it's not impossible in the future.
8. Thales eye and gesture tracking technology
Thales designed the eye and gesture tracking system and won the 2013 Crystal Cabin Award. The system can track user's eye information, recognize gestures, and operate the cabin entertainment system more conveniently. The design was originally designed for larger first-class cabins, but Thales said it will also be optimized for economy class.
