Adding new evidence to the existence of element 115

Sinochem New Network News Buying an item with a periodic table is probably not a good idea, because it may be updated soon. A new study published in the "Physical Review News" magazine in the United States said that the existence of the No. 115 element adds new evidence. If approved, the periodic table will add new members.

Element 115 is currently using Uup, the English abbreviation, which is highly radioactive and will decay into other elements in less than a second. In 2003, American and Russian researchers first discovered this element, but its existence has not yet been finalized.

Professor Dirk Rudolf of Lund University in Sweden and others reported that they used a calcium ion containing 20 protons to bombard a film containing 95 protons of strontium and re-synthesized element 115.

This finding once again proves the existence of element 115, but it has to wait for the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) to obtain an official name and be included in the periodic table.
